Overnight closures on way for road in Hamilton

Essential improvement works are to take place over four consecutive nights on Muir Street in Hamilton from next week.
The road will be closed from Motehill Roundabout to Lower Auchingramont Road from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday 16 June until Saturday 20 June.
Residents who reside within the closure will be contacted with additional arrangements prior to works commencing.
Diversion Routes
Northbound traffic: Palace Grounds Road, Blackswell Lane, Low Patrick Street, Duke Street, Brandon Street, Union Street, Almada Street and Muir Street.
Southbound traffic: Almada Street, Union Street, Brandon Street, Auchincampbell Road, Kemp Street, Quarry Street, Duke Street, Low Patrick Street, Blackswell Lane and Palace Grounds Road.
Lidl Supermarket access (traffic only): Almada Street, Union Street, Brandon Street, Leechlee Road, Cadzow Street and Lower Auchingramont Road.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may occur during these essential road works.
“The road will reopen each morning to ensure daytime access remains unaffected.
“We would request that all road users allow additional time for any journeys involving Muir Street during the times indicated and that they plan their journeys accordingly.
“We are sure everyone will appreciate the improved condition of the road when the works are complete.”
